X0C29 ATELIER LOOK 07 COSMIC CHEMIRA Metallic Leather Hooded Couture Jacket & Wide Leg Trousers Set

Created as LOOK 07 from the X0C29 ATELIER – COSMIC CHEMIRA collection, this couture ensemble explores the relationship between futuristic armour, fluid movement and architectural tailoring through handcrafted leather construction.

The set consists of an oversized hooded couture jacket and a pair of sculptural wide-leg trousers, combining metallic leather, sheer organza and multiple contrasting materials into a single wearable composition. Every component has been individually developed and assembled by hand within the X0C29 Studio.

The jacket features an intentionally asymmetric front silhouette with one elongated panel and one shortened panel, while the back is dramatically cut into a raised curved opening, creating different proportions from every viewing angle. The oversized hood becomes the visual centrepiece of the garment, transforming the silhouette into a sculptural architectural form rather than a conventional outerwear shape.

The accompanying trousers continue the collection’s futuristic language through asymmetric panel cutting, metallic leather quilting and layered organza lattice construction, completing the couture look as a single collector’s ensemble.

Craftsmanship

Entirely handcrafted in the X0C29 Studio, this couture look combines numerous specialised construction techniques rarely found within traditional ready-to-wear production.

The oversized hood is constructed using quilted metallic leather panels that create a sharp sculptural volume while maintaining a fluid drape. Hidden structural shaping allows the hood to retain its architectural silhouette without sacrificing movement.

The shoulders feature oversized purple boning structures that extend beyond the natural shoulder line, creating a futuristic exoskeleton effect. Elastic lace-up sleeve constructions introduce flexibility while preserving the sculptural proportions of the garment.

Throughout the jacket and trousers, metallic leather strips are individually layered over sheer organza to create the signature COSMIC CHEMIRA lattice structure. Multiple metallic leather colours—including silver, pink, blue, green and copper—are combined through precision quilting and hand assembly to produce shifting reflective surfaces from every angle.

The trousers feature asymmetrical colour blocking, sculptural panel cutting and an elastic lace-up detail beneath the front waistband, reinforcing the collection’s balance between structure and movement.

Every panel, stitch, structural element and finishing process has been completed by hand in the X0C29 Studio.

Why does X0C29 recommend a size?

Unlike conventional fashion brands, X0C29 garments are not sized solely according to generic body measurements. Each design begins with its own dedicated Base Block before progressing through garment development, grading and fit refinement. For this reason, the Recommended X0C29 Size displayed on each product page should always be considered the primary sizing reference.

Measurements shown on every X0C29 product page are finished garment measurements taken while the garment is laid flat. They are not body measurements.

Are the measurements shown on product pages body measurements?

No. All measurements displayed on individual product pages are finished garment measurements taken flat. Please compare these together with the Body Size Chart and the recommended X0C29 size.

Why can two garments in the same size fit differently?

Each X0C29 garment is developed using its own Base Block and intended silhouette. Different constructions, proportions and garment ease will naturally produce different fits even when the recommended size is identical.

What if I fall between two sizes?

If your body measurements fall between two sizes, choose the smaller size for a closer fit or the larger size for a more relaxed silhouette, unless otherwise recommended on the product page.

Can I request additional measurements?

Yes. If you require further measurements, sizing advice or styling guidance, please contact the X0C29 studio before placing your order.

Should I follow the Body Size Chart or the Recommended X0C29 Size?

The Body Size Chart should be used as your starting reference. However, the Recommended X0C29 Size shown on every product page remains the primary sizing recommendation because it considers the garment's construction, intended fit, grading and Base Block.

The X0C29 Sizing Philosophy

At X0C29, sizing is considered an integral part of the design process rather than a final production specification. Every garment begins with a dedicated Base Block developed specifically for its intended silhouette. From this foundation, each design is refined through construction, drape, proportion, grading and fit before arriving at its final dimensions.

Because every collection explores different forms and structures, garments sharing the same internal size may not fit identically. A sculptural dress, a relaxed coat and a compression knit are each developed from different construction principles and therefore follow different fitting intentions.

For this reason, body measurements alone should not be used as the sole reference when selecting a size. We recommend considering your body measurements together with each product's flat garment measurements and the Recommended X0C29 Size provided on the product page.
